Why join Community Labs?
Shape the internet’s future as a vital member of a passionate, innovative, and diverse team creating revolutionary products. What will you do?
As a 3D Artist Generalist at Community Labs, you’ll work closely with the Head of Design and external partners to create high-quality characters and props across a range of real-time and stylized projects. You should be confident across the 3D pipeline—modeling, sculpting, texturing, rigging, and animation—and have solid experience with tools like Blender, ZBrush, and Substance. We’re looking for someone with strong technical fundamentals, a sharp eye for detail, and the versatility to handle both character and prop work from start to finish.
- Create high-quality 3D characters and props from concept to final asset, including modeling, sculpting, UV unwrapping, and texturing
- Prepare assets for real-time use in engines such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Three.js, or metaverse platforms using VRM/VSF
- Prepare models for texturing and game engine use by creating clean, optimized geometry and layouts
- Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and external studios to ensure visual consistency and technical readiness
- Participate in creative reviews and iterate on assets based on feedback from the design and product teams
Who are we looking for?
- 3+ years of experience in 3D production with a strong grasp of modeling, texturing, and rigging workflows for real-time assets
- A portfolio showcasing a range of 3D work across characters and props, including modeling, texturing, rigging, and real-time engine-ready assets
- Proficiency in tools like Blender, ZBrush, Substance, and Maya (or equivalent)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to ask for help or feedback when needed
- Solid understanding of the full 3D pipeline and best practices for real-time assets
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage tasks independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team
- Organized, self-motivated, and consistent in meeting production goals
- Familiarity with Agile or iterative production workflows is a plus
