The Arweave Community Hackathon took place from June 28, 2023 to August 10, 2023. With over 50 projects submitted and over 38 countries represented, this hackathon marked a milestone in the Arweave legacy and showcased the collaborative power driving our community forward.
Community Labs got the opportunity to participate in many different ways throughout the event. The team hosted two workshops that included overviews of Othent and ArweaveKit, and a “meet the team event” where developers and CLabs team members converged to discuss projects and the more broader ecosystem.
Community Labs put up bounties in 6 different hackathon categories ranging from tooling integrations to ambitious full-scale projects, and the submissions left a lasting impression. In the tooling categories, bounties were set for Othent, ArConnect, and ArweaveKit integrations. Other bounty projects included a Script to Download the Entire Arweave Chain, Permaweb Mail Notification System, and a Smart Contract State Stepper.
The seamless integration of Community Labs' tools into these innovative projects was impressive. Arweave Chain Downloader, Permaweb Mail System, and Smart Contract State Stepper showcased their utility within the ecosystem. These projects will quickly become everyday solutions for Arweave users and developers.
The Arweave Community Hackathon concluded on August 10, 2023 with Demo Day where $13K Community Labs prize pool was awarded to 12 exceptional projects. This event emphasized the growth and vibrant energy of the ecosystem, a testament to the collective efforts of all contributors.
